You can then just automate the plugin which allows the normal plugin automation applied to the midi hardware. The downside is that you can only automate up to 5 parameters at the same time on the track. This really isn't great, but for me it'll do.

Do any of you have a nice workflow/setup for recording midi from audio? What i'm trying to do: Hum melodies into my mic, record the humming as audio, and then convert/render the audio to scale quantized midi (for further polishing). I've been looking through the faq and recent issue posts to try to find out why the automatic hits aren't working for me.
