Facebook Marketplace: What The Sellers Aren't Telling You.

If you see something you think is a scam, you should stop communicating with the buyer or seller and report the suspected scam to facebook. When talking to buyers and sellers, you should avoid # communicating with buyers or sellers privately outside of facebook and messenger. Anyone else run into facebook marketplace sellers that ignore them?

It seems like a lot of times whenever i am message people about their items they do not respond at all. They literally read my messages and ignore me. I give them plenty of time to answer, but nothing. In my experience, there are three main reasons this happens:

Lately, since mp changed their algorithm, and has already been mentioned here, sellers' city/state no longer shows most of the time, so people think the listing is local. Then when you tell them your address they realize it isn't so they get annoyed and just don't bother to message back. Anything that isn't a physical product for sale shouldnt be listed on marketplace. For example, in search of posts, lost and found posts, jokes and news aren't allowed.
