The silo is a type of farm building purchasable from robin at the carpenter's shop. It takes two days to build. When complete, it stores hay from grass cut on the farm.

Interacting with the silo just shows it's capacity. Silo supplies are dispensed within the coop/barns, you have to extract from there and place it on the bed/bench inside. There's room for three silos vertically with room for a path to grandpa on top, and i put my coop and barn there and walled in from the left side of the greenhouse for grass.
