Ive always loved her wardrobe since the beginning of the show. She has an impeccable sense of style. It wasn't melissa's choice, she can make suggestions of what kara can wear, but ultimately it falls down to the creative direction of the show runners and the wardrobe department. As for benoist's pants look, it does have the breaks in it to keep visual interest.

I just find it too drab. The whole suit looks too subdued and not quite bright enough for the character. Melissa knows how to make an entrance, and her red carpet appearances are a testament to that.
