Martin was born december 25, 1952, in surry county, the older of two daughters born to the late wiley leonard “dick” and mary etta steele young. A funeral service will be held on wednesday, december 18, 2024, at 11:00 am at true vine baptist church in mount airy with reverend rawley “dink” haynes, jr. , officiating. A private interment will follow after the visitation. The family will receive friends on tuesday evening, december 17, 2024, at moody funeral home from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm.
