Here in the east, 12 counties are currently using. Ecourts is a free online case information service that allows users to find information on active and closed cases in civil supreme and local civil courts, as well as future appearance dates for cases in criminal, family, and housing courts. How do i enter my case number? Enter at least the index number and year to find results, or select case type and court type for an exact match.

If you don't know the format of the case number you are trying to search, you can enter the case number separately from the year. The year is optional. Sign in as a guest to search civil court cases and electronically filed documents in supreme court, court of claims, and surrogate's court in all of new york state. In my experience it won't be in the system on ecourts until a request for judicial intervention is filed (after service and either answer (issue joined) or no answer (default)). Then you will get a court date and it will officially be up on ecourts.
