Was This Fraternity's Elephant Walk Deliberate Sabotage?

A california college is investigating reports claiming fraternity pledges were forced to participate in a hazing ritual known as the elephant walk. Sacramento states chapter of the delta chi fraternity members allegedly take part in a simulation of the elephant walk which is described in an anonymous email as a form of known hazing. The elephant walk fraternity ritual has garnered controversy due to its inherently demeaning and humiliating nature.

It is often seen as a form of hazing, and has led to backlash and scrutiny of the fraternity culture on college campuses. During the afternoon of feb. 18, a wave of posts on the anonymous social media app yikyak accused theta xi of including a ceremony known as an elephant walk, which typically involves individuals walking in a line while holding the genitals of the person behind them.
